The holiday season is officially here *Netflix christmas movie playing in the background* and so is my new found tradition of baking during the holidays. I don't know about you but I prefer to bake when it’s cold out and the christmas lights are on. These simple, delicious and addictive cookies are a must every year in our home, and they also make for a quick office gift or to take over to the in-laws.

Pour yourself a cup of wine and enjoy this recipe.
Ingredients:
2 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 cup powder sugar for mix
1/2 - 1 cup to covered cookies after baking them
2 sticks of butter (melted)
1 cup of pecans -
2 Tbls Vanilla Extract
pinch of salt
Start by mixing the powdered sugar and melted butter - you can use a mixer but hand mixing it works just as well. Mix in the vanilla extract, pinch of salt and flour - pour flour little by little for easier mixing. Now you can add the pecans. Fold the peacans into the dough, form a big ball and cover it with plastic wrap. Let it rest in the refrigerator for about and hour.

Pre-heat the oven to 350 F. Pull dough out of the fridge and kneed the dough just a little to warm up the mix and allowing for better handling. Make little balls and spread them in a baking sheet. Bake for 15 - 18 min. Once the bottom of the cookie is golden brown they are done.
Allow them to cool for 5 - 10 min. Pour the remaining powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl and add a few cookies at a time - toss them in the powdered sugar and coat each cookie. Let set in a baking tray and you are ready to enjoy. I toss them in the powdered sugar a second time because I have a husband with a big sweet tooth.
I told you the recipe was easy, didn't I?
Enjoy!
