I’m sure by now you have noticed that hashtags are being used across different social media platforms such as twitter, instagram and facebook. But do you really now how to use them to maximize their impact?
The primary goal of the use of hashtags is to drive people to your post on social media. It creates a group of like-minded individuals following one specific topic/subject across the web making this a Hashtag or words with a large following. Finding out what hashtags works bests for the you specific industry takes time and a lot of trial-and-error but after some digging I found this is the best way to test them out.
Remember that you can only use 30 hashtags per post on instagram, otherwise, your caption will be automatically deleted.
To build the right formula try finding hashtags under the following categories. A good combination of these will increase your results and drive more people to your posts. This is not a magic formula, some testing will be required before you find the ones they best work for you.
Find hashtags with 100,000 to 500,000 posts associated with them.
Find hashtags with 10,000 to 100,000 posts
3. About your Industry
These hashtags will have less than 10,000 posts but are directly connected to your industry. Think of it as the things your target audience is searching for.
These are the hashtags you use exclusively for your brand. Usually no more than 4. As an example; it could be your company's name or catch phrase.
Having a balanced mix of this four categories will help your post stay relevant for longer hence increase your following.
